Position Description:
Under the supervision of the Senior Administrative Analyst Supervisor, the incumbent provides high-level administrative and analytical support for the academic personnel functions for the four Departmental Groups: Biology Group, MCDB Group, LS Core Group, and Physiology Group.

Primary duties include independently managing the academic personnel review process and other academic personnel matters for Postdoctoral Scholars, Professional Researchers, Project Scientists, Visiting Researchers, Visiting Scholars, Lecturers, Academic Administrators, Academic Coordinators and Adjunct Professors.

Incumbent sets priorities, analyze problems, gather and interpret data, identify and evaluate options, and take appropriate actions to resolve the issues, in line with academic and departmental policies and procedures. Incumbent is to troubleshoot payroll/UCPath and Academic Personnel problems relating to appointments, merits and other academic matters, routinely solve and resolve problems, advise on guidelines, and follow up promptly to resolve issues. The incumbent coordinates, consults and provides recommendations on appointments, promotion and merit advancement cases, and annual review processes for the above academic titles. Incumbent is to access and review personnel reports as well as create and analyze internal history records to compile eligibility lists that track upcoming personnel actions such as merit and promotion for departmental review and use. The incumbent provides direction, oversight, and information resources to faculty and staff to ensure compliance with current academic policies and support procedure development. Incumbent manages the dossiers, oversee and manage the recruitment process, process payroll, benefits and fund transfers, and help academic employees obtain work authorization. Incumbent is to manage the outside activities via UCOats of all faculty. Incumbent is to advise faculty on academic personnel policies and procedures and act as a liaison with the Dean's Office, Academic Personnel Office, Dashew Center, and other internal and external agencies in regards to academic actions, matters and issues. Incumbent is to be the secondary backup to the Senior Admin Analyst Supervisor and the backup of the other Academic Personnel Analyst.

Incumbent is to work with the supervisor and CAO on developing and streamlining academic personnel processes, procedures, and spreadsheets to support the Departmental Groups.
