Job Description Summary
The Assistant Director will support course administration, teaching, and advising for the International Master of Public Administration program (I-MPA) and other programs cosponsored by the Partnership for Innovation, Cross-Sector Collaboration, Leadership, and Organization (PICCLO) and the College of Liberal and Professional Studies.

Job Description

The Assistant Director will support recruitment and admission work for the I-MPA program and other degree programs, and will assist with interviewing and providing support services to program applicants. This position works non-traditional hours including some required weekend work.

Responsibilities

Support course administration, including providing in-class teaching assistance and advising for several I-MPA courses. The Assistant Director will lead recitation groups and provide all required paperwork for these courses in the I-MPA program. Assist with student feedback, evaluations, grading, advising sessions, and course material preparation as needed.

Support recruitment and admissions for the I-MPA, by conducting applicant interviews; recording notes and handling an initial review of applications within a 24-hour period of when assigned. Provide support to admissions committee and program applicants as needed.

Provide administrative support for additional organizational programming within the Partnership for Innovation, Cross-Sector Collaboration, Leadership, and Organization (PICCLO). Attend all senior staff meetings, provide preparation and administration of exams and perform other duties as assigned for the I-MPA and other PICCLO programs including the Global Master of Public Administration (G-MPA), Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences Leadership and Communication (BAAS LEAD), Program for Research on Religion and Urban Civil Society (PRRUCS), and the program component for research, curricular and civic initiatives (RCCI).

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum education/degree required for this position: Master's degree in public administration, education, social work, or a cognate graduate professional field. At least 3 years of work experience post-college strongly preferred.

Additional requirements for the position (e.g. specific skills, licenses, certificates, certifications): Fluent in English and at least one other language preferred. Advanced level study of/expertise in data analysis and quantitative methods skill preferred.

Targeted Pay Range: $55,000 - $70,000
