Position Summary:
Equal Opportunity & Title IX. The Director prepares the University's annual affirmative action plan as required under Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) regulations and acts as Title VI Coordinator, Title IX Coordinator and coordinator for all other applicable discrimination laws for the University.

Essential Functions

  • Prepares University's annual affirmative action plan as required under OFCCP regulations in consultation with the Chief Legal Affairs Officer.
  • Works in cooperation with Chief Legal Affairs Officer and Associate Vice President for Human Resources to develop and implement strategies to recruit and maintain a diverse workforce.
  • In collaboration with hiring units, develops and implements strategies to improve recruitment and retention of minority and female employees in underrepresented job categories.
  • Makes policy recommendations in conjunction with Office of Legal Affairs to accomplish this goal.
  • Investigates complaints by faculty, staff, or students on the basis of membership in a protected class; makes recommendations to appropriate administrators for resolution of complaints; and refers complainants to ADR resources where appropriate.
  • Designs and implements training and outreach programs to increase the awareness of and institutional commitment to diversity.
  • Advises President and Chief Legal Affairs Officer of current diversity practices and trends, information about diversity, equity, and discrimination on campus, and other matters.
  • Serves as advisor to the NCAA Compliance Coordinator on Title IX issues.
  • Participates in OFCCP audits and regulatory reviews.
  • Collects data for analysis of recruitment, hiring, and retention of employees.

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
    Effective communication (verbal and written), organization and human relations skills; ability to work well in a diverse environment; proficiency with computer and Microsoft Office Applications software including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases; legally authorized to work in the United States; successful completion of background investigation prior to employment

    Salary Range: $79,100 - $106,800
