The University of Nebraska Foundation

Lincoln, Nebraska

The University of Nebraska Foundation seeks an innovative and accomplished Vice President Talent Management/Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) to lead the foundation's human resources and organizational development operations. Reporting directly to the President and CEO, the CHRO will oversee talent acquisition, professional development initiatives, and succession planning; actively participate in strategic planning for the foundation; lead compensation and benefits planning; and promote and maintain a strengths-based culture.

Established in 1936, the University of Nebraska Foundation operates solely to support the educational, scientific, cultural, research, and recreational objectives of the University of Nebraska system. As the primary fundraising vehicle to solicit, invest, and administer private gifts and grants to enhance the university's mission, the foundation promotes the university's pursuit of excellence in teaching, research, and public service. The University of Nebraska Foundation is one of the 25 largest foundations for public institutions of higher learning in the United States today, measured by annual total private support or endowment size, and was recognized as a top 100 charity for 2018 by The Chronicle of Philanthropy. This accomplishment speaks to the quality of the foundation's leadership and to the generosity of Nebraskans and others who support the university. The foundation staff of 196 individuals are dedicated to the core values of integrity, passion for mission, and teamwork.

As a member of the foundation's senior leadership team, the CHRO will supervise five direct reports. The successful candidate will have ten years of human resources experience, including at least three years of leadership experience. The individual will have exceptional interpersonal skills, knowledge of all areas of human resources, and experience in organizational development or strategic planning.
