Assistant Director, Compensation

Valencia College is seeking an experienced, innovative, and collaborative member to serve as the College's Assistant Director of Compensation. The Assistant Director of Compensation is responsible for partnering with leadership to create and communicate competitive Compensation programs. The Assistant Director of Compensation will assist with analyzing, implementing, administering, and counseling department leaders on all matters relating to compensation, classification, and position management. They will also counsel employees and supervisors in total rewards offerings to enhance the value of working at Valencia.

The ideal candidate will have:
- A Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution in Human Resources, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience. (Required)
- Two (2) years of progressively responsible experience in compensation, HR operations, or related field to include advanced data analysis and reporting in Excel, Human Resources Information Systems. (Required)
- Progressively responsible lead experience. (Preferred)
- Working in Education institution. (Preferred)
Specialized Knowledge and Experience:
- Knowledge of compensation administration methods, practices, and techniques as well as an in-depth knowledge of analysis and reporting techniques.
- Advanced skill in the use of Excel, including but not limited to pivot tables, v-lookups, and formula creation.
- Ability to effectively collect, analyze, evaluate, and prepare compensation related statistical and market-based data.
- Strong consulting, advisory and influencing skills; ability to build and manage relationships and set clear expectations with key business partners.
- Ability to develop and implement action plans to address unique and unusual compensation issues.
Position Information:
- Anticipated salary: $48,676 to $69,364 Per Year
- Location:Orlando, FL 32835 - Monday to Friday 8-5; This position will operate in a primarily remote environment (subject to change based on business needs).
