Adjunct positions in Art History, Fall 2019 and Spring 2020 semesters

The Department of Art and Music in the Gwen Ifill College of Media, Arts and Humanities at Simmons University invites applications from experienced art history professors to teach a variety of courses during the next academic year. Applicants are encouraged to note if they are qualified to teach in more than one of the areas listed.

Courses
  • Courses for fall 2019: Western survey I (Egypt to Renaissance), Introduction to Islamic art
  • Courses for Spring 2020: History of Photography, Impressionism, Women, Art and the Italian Renaissance, Museum-based Global Art (for art minors and non-majors)

    Qualifications:
    • PhD or ABD in Art History required
    • Professor of record on minimum of 5 courses
    • Experience teaching non-art majors in liberal arts setting
    • Experience in object-based teaching
