Department Summary
The Office of Investigations and Civil Rights Compliance provides a single location at University of Oregon for reporting and investigating all complaints related to prohibited discrimination and harassment. The office supports the university's compliance with federal and state laws regarding discrimination and harassment and equal employment opportunity.
Position Summary
The Case Coordinator provides case coordination for OICRC. This position uses a case management database (Maxient) to organize, manage, and track all complaints and reports received by OICRC.
This position serves as the first point of contact for individuals reporting prohibited discrimination and harassment. They may participate in screening initial reports and following up as needed to coordinate referrals to other offices on campus. The Case Coordinator assists with creating systems to ensure timely case processing and referrals to campus partners.
The Case Coordinator is responsible for OICRC's data and records management. This includes ensuring the quality, accuracy, and consistency of all database entries. The Case Coordinator creates and maintains confidential case records and ensures case information is accurate. This position also maintains the confidentiality of all reports and records in accordance with UO policy, applicable laws regarding records retention, and the policies and practices of the Office of Investigations and Civil Rights Compliance. The Case Coordinator also assists the AVP/CCRO by generating data and reports using the case management database.
The Case Coordinator regularly interacts with individuals who are reporting prohibited discrimination and harassment. In addition, the position collaborates with partners across campus including the Office of the Dean of Students, University Housing, Employee and Labor Relations, and the University of Oregon Police Department.
This position reports to the AVP/CCRO.
