Job Summary:
In support of Academic Support Services, this position provides workflow and technical procedures for schedule development and space allocation planning, as well as other administrative tasks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential Performance Requirements*
  • Provides leadership in work processing and service orientation
  • Collaborates with other district departments with course-section development, maintenance, auditing, troubleshooting, and functionality for sections including liaison with campus staff and distribution of reports and data
  • Coordinates the development of space allocation, including section auditing
  • Develops and maintains section and space-related information in District Systems
  • Develops and maintains procedural manuals for district-wide use in schedule development and space allocation
  • Provides training in schedule development and space allocation configurations for campus staff as needed
  • Liaisons with Institutional Research Department staff for the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) state reporting of course section data and other academic issues
  • Assists in the continuous development and cross-training of Academic Support Services staff
  • Assists with campus and community projects



Service Excellence
  • Participates on behalf of the College in external community organizations and associations as assigned to support the essential performance requirements
  • Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually, and follows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the worksite
  • Completes all required training and professional development sessions sponsored through Tarrant County College (TCC)
  • Supports the values of the College: diversity, teaching excellence, student success, innovation, and creativity and service to the College
  • Supports the mission, values and 3 goals and 8 principles of the College

Required Education, Experience, Certifications, Licensures:
  • Bachelors degree and three (3) years working experience related to the Essential Performance Requirements; or any equivalent combination of education, training, certification, and work-related experience


Desired Education, Experience, Certifications, Licensures:
  • Masters degree
  • Experience in project and Human Resources management
  • Experience with integrated student information systems
  • Experience using Ad Astra for scheduling


Knowledge, Skills and Ability:
  • Knowledge of State and Federal requirements and regulations relating to higher education
  • Skilled in excellent customer service and interpersonal relationships with diverse populations, including strong listening, verbal, and written communication
  • Skilled using applications and enterprise systems, including word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment and a setting that is diverse and urban
  • Ability to think critically to effectively solve and communicate problems in a fast-paced environment where the demands for work are varied, and unpredictable in scope and volume
  • Ability to analyze data and provide sound recommendations based on policy, procedure, practice, and existing regulations while exhibiting strong attention to detail and organization
  • Ability to delegate work appropriately to faculty and staff to meet College and campus deliverables
