Within Business and Administrative Services, the Human Resources (HR) office is responsible for the recruitment, selection, and appointment of non-academic employees. HR oversees all campus hiring policies, procedures, payroll, and employee benefit issues. The office also provides counsel to staff and management regarding employment-related issues and provides on-campus educational and professional development.

Under general administrative direction of the Associate Vice President for Human Resources and Administrative Services, the Director of Organizational Excellence, Training & Development uses skills as an experienced training and development professional to provide campus wide professional training as well as develop and administer needs assessments while following campus policies and procedures. The incumbent collaborates with the Professional Development Community of Practice (COP) systemwide cohort, reviews and selects targeted resources currently available and develops new training programs. The incumbent demonstrates good judgement in selecting methods and techniques for delivery of programs. The Training Coordinator will also utilize strategic and creative thought to develop programs, job aids, and training materials ensuring compliance with and consistency among various departments through coordination with Department Heads.
