Job Description:

Unity College is seeking an enthusiastic individual to work with the current Director of Human Resources to support a fast growing employee base. This position is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level in support of the Enterprise, Flagship and Sustainable Education Business Units. The HR Generalist carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits administration, Distance Education recruitment, Student, Temporary and Non-exempt recruiting and onboarding; training and employment law compliance. We are especially interested in someone who wants to grow and gain professional experience in a unique higher education environment.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management or Business with at least 3 years of job-related experience plus:

SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) preferred.

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, students, parents and the general public.

Ability to calculate figures and to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions

Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality in all matters concerning personnel records, payroll, investigations and reporting.

Additional Information:

This is a full-time, calendar-year, exempt position that works primarily day shift with some weekends and/or extended hours. Must be flexible and cooperative in fulfilling responsibilities and meeting the college's needs.
