POSITION DESCRIPTION UNITED CENTER

Position Title: Recruiter

Reports To: Senior Director of AYS


General Responsibilities:

Responsible for full-cycle recruiting to satisfy the part-time staffing needs of all AYS departments. Will collaborate with department managers on a regular basis and proactively identify future hiring needs and be able to attract candidates using various sources, like social media networks and employee referrals. Ultimately, responsible for ensuring AYS attracts, hires and retains the best employees, while growing a strong talent pipeline.

Specific Duties:

  • Design and implement overall recruiting strategy
  • Develop and update job descriptions and job specifications
  • Perform job and task analysis to document job requirements and objectives
  • Prepare recruitment materials and post jobs to appropriate job board/newspapers/colleges etc.
  • Attend job fairs and plan recruiting events as necessary
  • Source and recruit candidates by using databases, social media etc.
  • Screen candidates resumes and job applications and maintain tracking database
  • Conduct interviews using various reliable recruiting and selection tools/methods to filter candidates
  • Assess applicants' relevant knowledge, skills, soft skills, experience and aptitudes
  • Coordinate scheduling second interview appointments with department managers as necessary
  • Onboard new employees in order to become fully integrated
  • Coordinate and track the fulfillment of all pre-employment requirements (background checks, drug test, etc.) and training requirements
  • Monitor and apply HR recruiting best practices
  • Provide analytical and well documented recruiting reports to the Senior Director
  • Act as a point of contact and build influential candidate relationships during the selection process
  • Promote company's brand and culture.
  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned.

· Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals,

· Math Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest,

commissions, proportions, percentages, area circumstances and volume. Ability to apply

concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

· Computer Skills: Ability to work with various in-house computer programs. Ability to

work with computer software, including Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel. Other

software programs used include Ulitpro and Taleo.

· Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding and carry out

instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram form. Ability to deal with problems

involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Education: Bachelors Degree from a four-year college or university or one or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.

Overall:

Ideal candidate holds an academic HR background combined with work experience in screening, interviewing and assessing candidates.

Team Member must recognize and participate in the utilization of the various Recognition Programs.

Team Member must assist in the planning and monitoring of departmental strategic goals.
