Position Summary:

Senior Human Resource Oracle Systems and Administration Specialist

Middlebury College seeks a Senior Oracle Systems and Administration Specialist to administer Oracle HCM Cloud and other human resources technological resources, including reporting and analytics. This position is responsible for working to create a satisfying and supportive experience for employees and external customers working with tech tools.

B.S. in Human Resources or related field required and PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred. Minimum of 5 years' experience working with HR information systems. Must have proven success in optimizing use of cutting edge HR technologies; experience in utilizing analytical tool to meet reporting needs; demonstrated proficiency in managing operations of employee development or voluntary benefit programs; strong foundation of understanding of human resources information systems; highly proficient with reporting tools such as Argos or PowerBI, and extensive experience with Microsoft excel. Essential Functions:

HR Operations
Responsible for day-to-day oversight of HR operational issues and supervision of HR Coordinators including training and oversight of Coordinators activities to ensure proper coverage and quality of service. Act as a resource to advise on standard practices and be ready to step in and assist with more complicated issues as they arise in a wide range of employee services:
Employee life-cycle events on-boarding & off-boarding business process within Oracle HCM Cloud
Digital records and document management, Unemployment Claims, Employment Verifications
Direct Customer Service- HR general phone and email triage and walk-ins.
HR programs- Over see administration of the following programs Dependent Tuition, MLAF, employee recognition, profession development funds requests and CTO (audit and maintain Oracle leave management).
Ensures that department documentation and policies and procedures are kept up-to-date.

HCM Technology
The HR Operations & Admin Specialist will be the primary local administrator for Oracle HCM and any other technology systems utilized within the department.
Monitor upgrade release information and inform the Director of recommended strategies for deployment.
Responsible for monitoring system integrations and responding to error reports in a timely manner and efficient manner. Collaborate with GMHEC and Middlebury technical resources as needed.
Manage standard automated reports and dashboard. Primary contact for reporting requests and requests for data or completion of non-compensation related surveys.
Act as the primary resource to support HR Business Partner and Recruiters with all technology needs. Partner to deploy training and engagement activities to ensure Oracle tools are successfully deployed in a manner that increases efficiency and supports a positive user experience.
Act as the primary local resource for Oracle functional issues and collaborate with GMHEC systems administration as needed to monitor and resolve routine system performance issues. Provide the director with regular updates and escalate critical issue as needed.

Compliance
Maintains master compliance calendar for HR, listing ALL federal, state and local reporting requirements, due dates and responsible party within HR.
Performs audits in accordance with calendar. Ensures requirements are met and any outstanding items are closed.
Ensure compliance reporting is completed in a timely and accurate manner, follows up as needed with any reporting agency, escalates issues to the director as needed.

General Responsibilities:
Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned to assist the department in achieving and maintaining its mission.

Qualifcation
Education:

B.S. in Human Resources or related field required and PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Strong foundation of understanding of human resources information systems, Oracle HCM Cloud experience preferred. Highly proficient with reporting tools such as Argos or PowerBI. Extensive experience with Microsoft excel.

Experience:
Minimum of 5 years experience working with HR information systems.
Proven success in optimizing use of cutting edge HR technologies.
Experience in utilizing analytical tool to meet reporting needs.
Demonstrated proficiency in managing operations of employee development or voluntary benefit programs within established policies and procedures.

Physical Demands:
The Specialist must be able to interact with technology for long periods of time, while either sitting or standing, including performing data entry. Must be able to perform cognitively challenging work with a high degree of accuracy in a fast paced environment with rapidly changing priorities. Must be able to communicate effectively in person, on the phone and via email with employees, managers, vendors, etc.
